Vivo Introduces OriginOS 7 in India: Rollout Schedule, Features and Eligible Phones
Vivo has officially introduced OriginOS 7 in India, bringing a new software experience focused on smoother performance, AI-powered productivity, and better connectivity. Based on Android 17, the new operating system will be rolled out to compatible Vivo smartphones in phases.
The rollout is scheduled to begin by the end of October 2026, with flagship devices receiving the update first. The process will continue through early 2027, with the final batch expected by the end of February.
OriginOS 7 Rollout Timeline
The first wave includes the Vivo X Fold 5 and X300 series, including the X300 Ultra, X300 Pro, X300, and X300 FE.
In mid-November, the update is expected to reach the X200 Pro, X200, X200 FE, and X200T. The X Fold 3 Pro, X100 series, V70 series, and V60 series are scheduled for mid-December.
The V50 and V50e are expected to receive the update by the end of December. January 2027 will bring OriginOS 7 to several V40, S52, T5, T4, T3, and Y51 Pro models. The final phase in February includes selected V30, Y400, Y31 Pro, and T4x models.
What’s New in OriginOS 7?
One of the biggest highlights is Fluid Motion, which works with the Origin Smooth Engine and Spring Animation to make scrolling, transitions, and system interactions feel more responsive.
Vivo is also bringing several AI-powered tools. Jovi AI can assist with tasks and information, while Snap Note can turn handwritten notes, whiteboards, and other content into editable documents. AI Search is designed to help users find files and notes using natural descriptions.
For multitasking, Origin Workbench allows users to work with multiple windows, while compatible cross-app drag-and-drop makes transferring information between apps easier.
OriginOS 7 also introduces new personalisation options such as Wiggle Theme, Pet Pals and Glint Theme, along with enhanced security features.
